Reviews
for Woodcrest Nursing & Rehabilitation Center
My wife is doing rehab there for a broken leg. I can't say enough how good the staff has been taking care of her. The way the nurse's and the aids treat her has been above any place she has been.
Residents are given watered down cool aid for lunch and dinner every single day. No nutritional value whatsoever
For the love of God, whatever you do do not send your family member there. These people shouldn’t even be qualified to work at places like this. My husband is a disabled veteran who had Part of his foot amputated was the reason why he was sent there because he was nonweightbearing on his foot trust and believe that if you take clothes there, please mark them Over half of my husband‘s clothes came up missing… so they decided, instead of finding his clothes, they would dig through the lost and found to find him more not to mention the fact that since he was non-weight-bearing, he should’ve never been allowed to get out of bed and try to make it to the bathroom by himself and this happened on numerous occasions long story short my husband fell 3 times at this facility by trying to get his own self to the restroom call button was not by bed so he could call to tell them he had to use the restroom so in this is why he fell, had to army crawl to the door to kick the door to let someone know that he had fell….. Not to mention the fact that you eat what they want you to eat and if you don’t like it, you get nothing else happened on numerous occasions Was literally on the phone with my husband, and his breathing was Labored he Was so panicked that he couldn’t find The button to push To call the nurses I literally had to stop FaceTime him and call the facility and The Callsalways go to the second floor Took forever for them to answer the phone and I understand there’s more people than just my husband there but once they did and transferred me downstairs, it took forever for them to answer the phone. Then they tell me the next day that my husband aspirated on water and was sent to the hospital. I was on the phone with him and he said I have to go. They’re sending me to the hospital and was conscious 50 minutes later when I got to the hospital, my husband was unconscious and slept for two days. Someone please explain this to me. I’ve actually spoke to other people who would which work in the medical field and we both have came to our own conclusion on what happened but will not put that on Here I would not send my worst enemy to this facilitation
This place has went straight down hill with the new administrator. He doesn't care about the residents, staff or the families. Sits in his office and does nothing. Fires good employees for absolutely no reason. Let's certain employees run the show.
My grandma was there 2004 supposed to be hospice care they lied that long ago and was newest in town until it became a hospice care, she was in st e. Monopoly in nky she was taking to long to die.So they sent her to hospice there ,I will have to answer for not take her she sat up for hrs . crying get your love one out asap call ombudsman on. Them. Non profit is a lie tax trick llc. Or something like that plus Medicare/Medicaid fraud. Hope and 🙏for you.
Don't put family here. The most uncaring place I have ever dealt with. Management are a bunch of lier. MAKE promises and never follow through. Blames their lack of care on the patient. They threatened to drop my husband at my door step. I am 71 and not able to take care on him. They caused me to have a nurvist break down over it I have a complete power of attorney and they still won't follow my wishes. Administration is to have a meeting with me in person every month never happens. When something happens they don't call me, they call my son. Which they are not to do. Get your love ones out of here I am.
HORRIBLE!!!! DON'T DO IT!!!
Worst nursing home possible. My brother wasn't taken care of properly and some of his photos of loved ones was lost and had to be taken to the hospital multiple times and one time where I had to call myself for the ambulance because they was taking forever to pick him up
Excellent rehabilitation and nursing care. We were so pleased to be involved in dad’s care, and our input and opinions were sought after. They had a complete team approach. My dad did so well under their care and his health improved greatly. This team puts my faith back in healthcare.Thank God for them.
I have nothing but great things to say about Woodcrest. The staff weee so kind and caring, and everyone went out of their way to make my entire family feel welcomed. My mother received excellent care there and I would recommend Woodcrest to anyone!
My grandmother had stayed here recently and it was HORRIBLE! She would call us crying in pain because they would not dispense pain medicine on a regular basis. They would say it’s not their policy and the patient would have to ask for it. Sometimes her pain medicine would end up missing even though the nurse on hand would tell her “don’t you remember, we brought you your pain meds a while ago?!” I think there might be a problem here that NEEDS to be looked at, but as far as I’m concerned… I wouldn’t take ANYONE here!
I know someone who loves there and it breaks my heart that she is there...Smell is God awful, This place should be shut down...I can't believe people put thier loved ones there, shame on them!! Don't work there, pull your loved one out if you have any love in your heart...Staff doesn't even take care of the patients, management should be ashamed of themselves
Horrible place. Smells like cigarettes and urine. Call light wait times 1-2 hours at times. CNA's cross out names tags on clothing and use sharpie on fabric to re-label and give to other residents. Several times each week I have to beg to get cathed. Even though it's scheduled they come 1 1/2 to 2 hours late. Then they treat me like I'm ridiculous for being upset.
This place smells worse than an over used porta-pottie on taco chili day in the middle of summer.
Not happy with the care that my brother is receiving at this point.
Two weeks ago, my mom was admitted to Woodcrest under a very difficult situation! I cannot say enough about the overly compensating staff of Woodcrest!...from the administrator to the wound care team to the aides...they have all have been kind to my family and my mother!...I am so grateful that they helped her work thru a traumatic event!
Caring staff.
I love that you can walk in the doors and see the smiles of the older youth. They are happy to be there. Smiles, and the laughter from both residents and staff as you walk down the halls is heart warming. Conversations between both show they really are a big family. A lot of heart and dedication has went into that building and it shows.
The staff is extremely friendly and welcoming! The activities are always fun and interactive! It is really awesome to visit a place that takes inclusion of their residents so seriously! I enjoy taking my Nephew to many of their activities such as the Easter Egg Hunt, Craft Fairs and Bake Sales!
Taylor Estes is awesome.
Been here many times with my children for holiday parties that they hold for residents. Staff is always friendly and attentive. Residents seem to all be in good spirits. 2 thumbs up.
This is an excellent facility. From top to bottom great staff. They really do treat the patients (family) with respect and see to their medical needs. You could not ask for a better place for loved one to stay.
A couple of months ago a friend of mine was moved into Woodcrest from home. At first she was in a double room and she had a family member staying with her to ease the anxiety of the move. Woodcrest moved her to a private room to accommodate the patient and her family. Than you for caring Woodcrest.
The facility and staff are great, workers are very friendly and make you feel at home.
Great atmosphere
Great staff & wonderful service.
Woodcrest nursing home is a great place to live they have a great staff and an excellent activities department
I am so proud of our team! We have come a long way from where we started! New owners, new management , amazing nurses and exceptional CNA/STNA's and staff are all what makes us great! ...The residents are happy and well cared for, and staffing is good! Our most recent survey shows it, 1 tag .... WE ARE WOODCREST!!! Extraordinary people Exceptional care
This place is sub- par to say the least! Stopped yesterday about 5pm to check on my mother. Fecal matter on the bathroom floor, when I told the aid, they responded with “ we don’t have access to a mop, housekeeping comes in during the day hours to clean. Then licks the supplies up.” I was given a towel to put over it. This is one incident of many, management gives lip lip service, but nothing changes
Great Food, Great staff
NO STARS, had to mark one so I would be able to post... STAY AWAY from this place, staff is non existent and all they have for management are bullies. This place should have already been shut down but they hide any and everything from the state. If you have family here, take them out because they are not and most likely will not, ever get the proper care.
I'm not going to sit here and tell you something will definitely happen to your loved one. What i am going to tell you is there are a LOT of facts your not going to find on here. Like the fact that they were the cause of my moms death. Or apparently the death of several others. If your loved one isn't severe and they just need some BASIC care they maybe just fine here. But if you're loved one needs to be completely dependent on some one. Please consider other options. I miss my mom dearly.
I am here for the rehabilitation services. The therapist I have worked with are Respiratory Therapist, Speech Therapist, Physical Therapist, and Occupational Therapist. This team of people are wonderful. In just over a month I am doing things I didn't think I would be doing until next year. My RT literally saved my life by catching a misdiagnosis from multiple places including UC and St. Elizabeth. The reason for the 4 star would be that the food is not very good.
