Cal Turner Rehab and Specialty Care

My husband is at Cal Turner Rehabilitation. It deals with memory care and other odd problems. The staff is very good; it is just that the facilities are not that great. The facility is clean, but it is very spartan. It isn't in the color that you would have in a memory care -- e.g., something more to entice Alzheimer's patients out of their bedrooms. However, the staff is very kind. They just do not have enough staff for the number of patients. There are too many people, but the staff does the best they can. The facility, I think, needs to have less of a sterile ambience. When all these patients have to look at is tan walls and a couple of TVs, it just doesn't really entice their minds. They need a little stimulation, not only for the memory care, but for some of the other patients that are there too.
