Reviews
for Charleston Health Care Center
The residents of Henson Health are so loved by the staff! My family has been so fortunate to have a great relationship with all the staff that cares for our Mother!
Great place . Staff is very polite and great with there residents. Activities are amazing and thanks to the Activities Dept for Activities.
I hope God is watching over the residents there the staff sure is not the worst nursing home I'm ever seen the nurses act like teenagers at a party how it I open is a miracle
Management rude and place is filthy. Would not recommend
I was there today thinking that they would help me not so. When I first went in the room the two nurses said I don't know how we are going to get you in the bed. It was very very very dirty. Every where I looked it looked dirty. Unkempt the patients looked like they weren't the care they needed. They didn't look abused or anything like that they look like they weren't taken care of properly. I believe that they were under staffed. The management was horrible she was saying everything that she could to get me to stay. She said that no place else would accept me because of insurance. Maybe some of that is true but not all of it. Because insurance does rule the world. She tried to say that I talked with someone named Chrissy there about staying there I didn't. This was done Ephraim McDowell home health communicated with them not me. Because I didn't want to go anyway. After going through this today I don't ever want to go back I feel sorry for the people who have to stay there. Some people may not have a choice I don't know but God does he knows he cares he sees what is going on.
Sorry to all family members who have to endure the hardship of having to place Thier loved ones in this facility! Without the nursing staff this building would be worthless! It is ( literally ) falling down around the staff & it's (management), I use that term extremely loose! So far this year the ceiling has fallen in twice causing some residents to do without water for a period of time, & the food preparation to be delayed "even more than usual" speaking of the dietary substance that is described as food, it couldn't have made the meals worse ! That's a whole other dead horse to beat " pun intended "let's see they have had numerous items that a nursing home under qualified and capable administration should, nor would, ever let their supplies diminish ! Ice, jelly, bacon, sweetener, adult diapers ! C'mon now! Really! With superstores within the immediate area the only logical explanation is the age old excuse, GREED!!! The shifts are short staffed contributing to the lack of care (not negligence) that this facility can provide to it's residents. Could it be at less than $8.00 an hour for many people is not tempting enough to fill three positions a shift??? We all have opinions and some of you reading this may not agree with mine, the many who do agree have observed first hand the ongoing incompetence of it's management & the overall condition of this neglected, outdated facility with obvious misdirected funds provided by state & local funding not to mention the numerous elderly residents whom have trusted Thier lives to be of quality surroundings , treatment & care !!!
HP has such caring and compassionate nurses and CNA'S. The receptionist is always friendly and the management team is always wiling to help.
My mother passed away there in November. I visited often and there were time many patients needed help. I waited over two hours for someone to get my mom out of a chair. She was hurting really bad. At one point I found an Aide passed out in my mother’s food . Although I did not know all the nurses, Nancy Smith was an outstanding nurse. She simply did not have time to take care of all the patient's.
I’ve seen and heard multiple nurses and some of the CNAs treat them with the upmost disrespect and do no care about there well being, I would not recommend to have your family come here to be taken care of even though some workers like Ms.Zeznanski are out substantially amazing.
I have to say that I have always been skeptical of rehab and nursing facilities and scared to death to have to place one of my patients in one because all of my childhood my mother worked in several different ones and I never ever like going to them because to me they were never clean. Unfortunately my father had a stroke and eventually he needed more help then I could offer him and I had to place him in a nursing facility. I looked at several places and found that Landmark is the nicest, cleanest, friendliest, most caring facility around here. I’m very happy that my father will be getting the help he needs in a place that even he likes. I couldn’t recommend Landmark enough to anyone who might need their services.
Friendly faces all around, anyone & everyone was so nice in help directing where ever I needed to go!
great place to bring your family members! housekeeping is great and very clean! lots of activities! great team and amazing management!
Great place to bring your family members! Super clean! Great staff!
Amazing staff! Leadership always available to help and very nice and professional. Very clean. Building has a lot of hard working staff. Wonderful place to take your family member. Amazing therapy team and department! Lots of activities for the residents and great activities department!
the employees are wonderful!! amazing personalities & charismatic! highly recommend these ladies & gentleman
My mother was a resident twice towards the end of her life. All the employees were so wonderful & caring. They made sure her radio was on during Ky games! If we ever had a question or concern, the staff was there to answer immediately.
I’ve been indirectly associated with the facility and staff since it was Charleston. Many have a perception of how times were pre-COVID. The pandemic provided many challenges for management, staff, residents, and families. Many don’t understand these challenges, and unfortunately they never will. However, the team has the residents and families best interest at heart. Just look at the recent activities post pandemic. The team is engaged with the residents care and happiness.
Landmark of danville is an amazing place to take your family. New management. Great staffing. Great therapy department. They truly care for the residents who live there like they are their family. They give their all day in and day out. Very clean and smells great!
I live at Landmark of Danville and I love it. The staff I’ve met are super nice and they take really good care of me. The food they bring me is good, I get plenty! I appreciate having someone to look after me. I would recommend them to anyone!
My grandmother lives at Landmark of Danville and they take really great care of her! She loves it there and feels safe. She loves the food! I’m thankful for Landmark of Danville Rehabilitation Center!
Since new management has taken over it is HORRIBLE!!!!
My mother has been there through Charlston & landmark first of all, the nursing staff is under staffed.under paid & overwhelmed, the only ones who do not quit are the ones that care about their tenants, Management is almost nonexistent as they do absolutely nothing to improve the quality of life in this place. Patients are starving do to quality of meals , patients & family constantly complain & are given lame excuses with no improvement. Clothes, personal items. Even wheelchairs get stolen & no one has a clue about what happened to them . bug problems take at least 3 wks to be addressed, Management with more excuses!! their too greedy to spend money on improving living conditions Management with more excuses! but at the same time flowering , landscaping, Fresh new expensive signs to lure in future victims are being purchased, they keep compliant forms under lock & key to intimidate people from asking for them , my mother has fallen four times due to lacking staff to help her in a timely manner, Management with more excuses!! As of yesterday three patients have blister like sores on their feet with no idea how, they have lost paperwork, ran out of certain foods & condiments. Even medicine at one point! They keep patients awake all night with no regard for anyones sleep! Complaining to management quickly gets the response of “why haven’t we received her pension check yet!!!” Use your own judgment when considering this institution, walk in ,( if they have available staff to open their door,)& breath in the aroma of urine down the hallways & witness the nursing staff wore out from doing their best with what they give them, stick around & watch while the patients lunches sit on a cart for over an hour before being served, taste the food if you dare, these people should be held liable for crimes against humanity!!!
First two days my mom was given someone else’s medication. She sets up during the day In the wheelchair usually 11:00-5:00. Has been left in chair till 8:30 pm with no changing all day. This place needs to be shut down.
Have to stay for rehab.
My cousin is one of the very few residents with their memory intact. The nurses take care of her as if she were their mother, which is a comfort to know.
My grandmother got the best care here. Every time I would visit (which was OFTEN), she would tell me how good they were to her, how much she liked it and how they took her down to exercise every weekday. I was so concerned that moving from a big house into full nursing care, she would be unhappy, but she flourished there and was pleased with her new home and the people who cared for her. The staff is amazing. I'm not sure how they manage to do everything they do, but I sure appreciate them -- each and every one! Thank you, Charleston!
Charleston Healthcare has some of the most caring staff that I have ever witnessed in action. I have twenty years experience in healthcare and I can honestly say that I have never seen a more dedicated group of professionals. From the owners, administration and the staff, they are constantly looking to provide better care than they did the day before. And the care they provide is amazing. You would do no better than to have your loved one become a resident of Charleston Health Care Center!
Their new administrator is amazing and so is all the staff!
My mother has been here for about a year and a half now. She is well taken care of. This place serves the residence 3 meals a day. The food is cooked fresh for each meal, and sometimes they do have soup and sandwich. The employees are really good working with the residence that live here. There is plenty of parking here, the parking lot is clean, the landscaping looks great. The lawn is cut, the bushes trimmed, overall, the landscaping is well manicured. The place is kept clean, and this is a non smoking faciIity. Ashley, and Rachel were the two nurses on duty at this time. They stayed busy taking care of the residence, making sure their meals were ready on time, they made sure the dining room was cleaned up as soon as the evening meal was over. I watched them work while visiting my mom, and those two ladies are the best I have ever seen anywhere. They stayed busy the whole time I was there. They are super nice to the residence, and any visitors that come out to visit their loved ones. I was just visiting my mom on 9/5/19, and my mom said she just loves Ashley and Rachel, she adores them. my mom said she has never had a complaint about them. They make sure everybody gets their medications on time. They are very timely on eveything they do there. This has got to be the best place ever for assisted living. This review is based on what I have seen there, what my mom has told me, and my experience while visiting my mom. Please like and share. scott-
Wonderful place. My dad is well taken care of. They seem to be genuine people that care. They celebrate all the holidays inviting families to come and eat and spend time with their loved ones. Very thankful for their good service.
