Reviews
for Holiday Lone Oak
The staff is very friendly, caring and helpful. They welcome suggestions and feedback and are always willing to help with anything they can!
The staff is very friendly and helpful. They treat you like family. Once a month we have A Taste of Holiday with food from other places and discover their ways of living along with games. The socialization here is fantastic. If someone is out for a few days we all are concerned.
I have been here 2 1/2 yrs and wouldn't dream of moving. The staff is very helpful and often go over and beyond is necessary.
Very nice place to live. They have everything here that we need. Food, entertainment and the people here are always willing to help each other. It is a good place to live. The new GM, [name removed] has come in and went above and beyond. We love him!
I have Have lived at Jackson Oaks for almost 3 years. I love being around people and the friends I have made. I love to workout. They have a great program with [name removed] that I love going to 3 times a week. The food is good and they have lots of choices. The staff is great and always helpful. Especially [name removed]. She has become a great friend to me. All in all, I love living here.
I have worked at Jackson Oaks for 6 years. It has been a joy to get to work with some of the best people around. It is so rewarding and such a fun loving environment to work in. The residents make the worst day turn out to be the best.
My father moved in a few months ago. He was very lonely at home and wanted to be around more people and have more activities to do. He is loving it! He walks everyday around the community and goes to all meals. He love the people and staff. This was the greatest thing that ever happened to him. I’m so thankful for Jackson Oaks.
The activities director at Jackson Oaks coordinates a wide variety of music and painting and crafts and education activities and multiple games are available based on resident interests. Also based on resident's interests, a new activity has been added, which is also a topic of study at nearby Murray State Univ. There's an activity for everyone at Jackso Oaks!!
I toured Holiday Jackson Oaks. The lady there was very good. She spent a long time with us. It was really good. The rooms were good sized. They had good showers and good bathrooms. They were remodeling but the place was clean. It was very good. They had places where they could go out and walk in the sunshine, which is my dad's main thing. And the dining area looked very similar to where he is at.
This is a real nice place to live and the staff is very dependable and helpful. I have enjoyed being here and meeting all the staff and people that live here. Food is fair and most of the time it’s wonderful. I like the entertainment that they provide as well. I love bingo and bean bag baseball. I also like working on the puzzles.
Not Good. Food bad. Floors dirty carpet duct taped every where. Last meal there I took a pic of my breakfast table and all aforementioned. Servers most were rude and take your plate b4 finished. Dessert ice cream served at same time as main meal. Thrown or pushed at you. Servers dress mostly ghetto. Coffee was good. Staff friendly. Activities good. Most of us were looking for a different place to live. This is not a place for my mom and not a place for me.
The rooms are very nice The food is pretty good for institutional type food and is getting better I don't believe the staff could be any better everyone is very helpful
Holiday Jackson Oaks is beautiful on the inside. The facility is very clean. They had a lot of activities going on around there. There are chapel services and a library. They have therapy and bingo. The staff members were very nice.
Jackson Oaks has everything a person needs for a productive life. From transportation, meals, housekeeping, social activities, a friendly and helpful staff and much much more. Jackson Oaks was the place I chose to live and I have never been sorry. It was the smartest move I have made in a long time.
Our stay at Holiday Jackson Oaks was only for 6 months, then we moved to a single family house. Carefully consider if you are ready for community living - if you are looking for independent living, not assisted living.
Been here for about 3 years. Nice place and feel safe. All the employees are friendly as well. The upper staff .....although they stay busy...they seem to always make time to answer questions or help with an issue. The activity director Kelly has made several improvements since I've been here. Different excercise classes....new games as well as some of the old ones.....several entertainment folks, more than before....parties with themes and good food. Activities room always clean and decorated to match events. I would recommend Jackson Oaks to any friend or relatives. KW
When my husband passed away ,my house was too hig for me and I was lonely. I came to Jackson Oaks and I have really enjoyed living here. Made a lot of new friends and the staff is wonderful.
Jackson Oaks has been a wonderful option for my mother. They provide daily activities and plan many special events for the residents.
Rooms are clean and comfortable. Staff members are caring and helpful. Activity director works very hard to keep residents active.
Food is good. People are friendly. Staff is good.
Enjoy the activities and the meals are good. The employees are really nice and helpful. This is a nice place to live. There is a bus driver on staff and they take us to our appointments and to Walmart on Wednesday
I have been here for over a year now. I would like to be here for years to come. I an 88 yrs.old and never have to look for anything to fill my time because we have plenty of activities to keep us busy. We also have good entertainment, Good food and good friends. What more Could you ask for?
This has been a perfect place for me after becoming a widow. Everything I need along with great friends And great activities by our director always fun times Thanks to [name removed]!! Wouldn’t want to be any place else!!
My father lives here and loves it the staff are nice and friendly very helpful..
My father lives here, he enjoys all the people and the activities. A great place to be!
I have been at Jackson Oaks for eight months and I enjoy living here the staff are very courteous and helpful in anything you ask of them and the other residents are very friendly and polite. The meals are good and you are given three options each meal which I think is great. I would recommend Jackson Oaks to anyone that wants a stress free atmosphere to reside
Jackson Oaks has a great staff that care about the residents. They have an outstanding dining room with great food. They have daily activities for the residents, and they bring in live performers to entertain the residents. My sister enjoys living there and has made many friends. Attached are photos from one of renowned saxophonist Reggie Lafaye's monthly performances, one photo with my sister.
Music entertainment is diverse and suitable for residents. Painting with Janet Miller is fun and stimulating, and I look forward to each session!!! Special programs with food and traditions for holidays are fun too.
I think it’s a good place to live independently in our later years
Wonderful place to live.
My grandmother moved over here after my grandfather passed. She was in a big, empty house and was bored and lonely. She has been tremendously happy at Jackson Oaks! She has several friends there and loves the staff. She enjoys all the entertainment and parties and classes. She has more of a social life than me now!
Holiday Jackson Oaks has been great. They have had some employee problems, but are working on it . So I would say it's fine. The staff is great, always friendly and willing to help! The care services are wonderful and the meals overall are fine. My father is finally starting to join in on the activities. I believe he is enjoying them. Overall we have been very happy. My family's experience has been great, both with A Place for Mom and with Jackson Oaks! I recommend you both every chance I get
Local management is good but ownership rules suck. Also price keeps increasing for apartments but all amenities stay same or less.
The staff was helpful , it took us months to get her refund after we gave notice. They withdrew her rent after the notice anyway. We were assured she would be able to get VA spousal support, and I worked for 8 months getting the details. The route of paying the patriot company may do better for some. Kind of wish we had tried. We just got the run around with the VA. She loved the facility and the room cleaning and staff, but it was a lot of money for such a small space. It was a lot to downsize her life to basically a hotel room size. The upside was her meals were very good, and that was part of her trouble to stand to cook. She enjoyed being with other people. I wish she could've afforded it.
I am currently a resident at Holiday Jackson Oaks and this facility and everything about my experience here has been great. The cleanliness and friendliness are great. The staff, activities, meals and value for cost are also great. I would recommend Holiday Jackson Oaks to others.
Living at Jackson Oaks has been a very pleasant experience. When I had to move here out of necessity because of health reasons, I was anxious as to what the future and outcome might be. However, the positive outweighs the negative. I have made new friends, found many activities in which to participate, no longer have to cook for myself as meals are provided, have cleaning services, cable services with no extra charge, have access to travel to and from doctors’ appointments, and feel safe and comfortable. I do admit that I miss driving, my own cooking and homemade meals, being able too come and go without assistance or a means of transportation; however as I stated, the good outweighs the negative. At my age, one has to “accentuate the positive.”
I have been here a year and love the friends I have made. Very.friendly folks. Kelly does a great job with keeping us busy with activities and entertainment .
The residents at Jackson Oaks make this a special place. I love each and everyone of them.
Enjoy my stay here Everybody is very helpful and friendly
I moved here after my husband passed away. This was a very good move. Friendly people, and everyone is so nice. They have lots of activities snd very good entertainment. If you are looking for a place for your last years, this is it.
A very friendly residential apartment complex. Residents get alone fine and welcome new residents. Management is very good. Kelly does a fantastic job as entertainment coordinator. She organizes daily games, exercises, and brings in outside entertainment many times a week. Food is good but could be improved. Housekeeping is good and maintenance keeps repairs up to date. The only complaint would be, in my estimation, a lack of support from corporate. Staffing is at a minimal and with sickness and time off, some daily routines can be missed especially in kitchen and housekeeping. I however would recommend Jackson Oaks.
Jackson Oaks has been a wonderful experience for my MIL. She enjoys her friends and plentiful activities arrange by Kelly.
My mother really likes Kelly, the Activity Director. She does a great job keeping the residents engaged and entertained.
Im comfortable knowing that my mother is happy at Jackson Oaks. She brags on the friendliness of everyone, the activities that keepher busy whether independently or with a group. We appreciate Kelly and her ability to engage the residents.
Lots of great activities to keep residents engaged, entertained and meeting new people. Spacious, comfortable apartments Friendly and helpful staff
Kelly Emerson, our Activities Director, rocks! She makes sure there is something special to look forward to every single day, and she makes me glad to be here.
I have enjoyed my year at Jackson Oaks. There is always an activity going on. Lots of friendly people and you are encouraged to participate.
I love the companionship I hav found here with both the other residents and staff. The activities that are provided for us are Excell ent and there is no reason for anyone to feel left out. Also I love the homey atmosphere with the residents in mind and consideration on of our age group.
My mother has been happy at Jackson Oaks! We are very pleased with the kindness & care shown to her daily by all staff members!
I visited Holiday Jackson Oaks. They were nice, but they were just independent living there. You'd have to have another company come in and that would have been another expense. The staff was nice and very knowledgeable. Gina offered lunch, but we had just finished breakfast before we arrived there, so we kind of turned them down. The rooms were very spacious. They had a refrigerator and just a microwave. They were allowed to come and go as they pleased. The people were nice. A lot of them could get around on their own. The community is kind of quiet, but it's in Paducah, Kentucky, so there were restaurants close by. The dining area was nice and looked homey. I've seen a lady doing puzzles. They had areas where they watched movies and played cards. They had a pool table. I've seen a game room up on the second floor. They had a treadmill and bicycles that they could get on there and pedal.
