Unspecified · August 2024 Very pleased with the staff and services that are provided at Mills!! Staff is very caring , positive and professional. I would highly recommend Mills if you need their services!! It’s not perfect, but they consistently strive to help the people in their care!!
Everyone has been so helpful in my Physical therapy, Nursing care, CNA's, Activities, and Food planning, also the Adimination, and their Assistance, in all I had a very pleasant experience at Mills Manor!!! However I'm so happy to be able to go home Monday May 6th
Unspecified · February 2024 I admitted my mother to Mills after a hip injury after a friend recommended them. I am extremely glad she went to Mills, even though it is about 45 minutes from where we live. The Mills staff keeps me updated on changes, tests, and things that are going on. The staff is responsive, kind, knowledgeable, caring, with great attitudes despite how demanding their jobs are. Rooms, sheets, and bedding are cleaned regularly. Laundry is done timely, so my mom always has clean clothes to wear. They have daily activities, and encourage residents to participate. The therapists do a great job, as well. They have a beautician that visits the facility three days a week. They even provide a TV and phone to each resident for no extra cost. It can be difficult to have a loved one in a Nursing Facility, but I've been able to have peace of mind knowing my mom is receiving excellent care at Mills. Honestly, if I had to be in a nursing home, I'd want to go to Mills.
Unspecified · January 2024 I've been here 24years love my job. friendly staff .family environment my dad was here in 2008 and had the best care .if I had to choose to be in a nursing home I would choose here .
Unspecified · January 2024 Mills has the best Therapy staff in the region!!!!
Unspecified · September 2023 Mills has always been good to my mom and has always been helpful when I need them!
Unspecified · August 2023 Great staff!!!
Unspecified · December 2022 Mills has so many caring employees! Residents are their priority. When my father was there they were very attentive. I feel like they gave us more time with him.
Unspecified · September 2022 I would recommend them for short term but never ever for long term. I should have been called when there was an erratic breathing issue and wasn't called until he had passed. I would have wanted to be there so that he wasn't alone!? Not only that, not once did the Chaplain seee or my father, knowing he was not doing well. Only reason for 2 stars and not 1 was they are good with short term care.
My mother in law and father in law were both at this facility. Best care ever. The staff loved on and took wonderful care of both of them. Spoiled them really. I couldn't have asked for better care.
I have had several family members that have been patients here and they have all been treated great.
Great staff....Very compassionate, dedicated, and will love your family members as their own. I’ve had family members throughout the years reside at Mills and all have been very pleased!
One of the best facilities around!
One of the best Nursing Homes I have ever visited. My family member was there last year and the building was always clean and the staff was very nice.
Great Faciility and Staff are amazing and treat their residents with love!
My grandmother has been at this facility for years and I could not be happier. The staff treat her like family and she loves her home at Mills. It is a very clean facility, and the rooms are spacious. The nursing staff is very knowledgeable, and very attentive. I wouldn’t want my grandmother to be anywhere else! She loves the outside gazebo area and BINGO!
Compassionate staff and loving environment!
Great people in every department doing wonderful things everyday!
Great staff! Very compassionate and will love your family members as their own! Would recommend to anyone!
Unspecified · February 2021 My dad is at Mills Health & Rehab Center. I have been pleased with it. I have not had any problems. They have lowered his bed as low as they can get it, where he'll only have about 15 inches or so to fall to hit the floor. He fell out of his bed yesterday and they had fixed a 2 1/2-inch-thick mat on each side and they keep the bars down, so he doesn't crawl out. I think they're doing everything they can to keep him safe and I have been pleased. Everybody that I have talked to has been very helpful. They tell me all they can about dad and what they're doing, they ask for my opinion, and they've been very supportive. The only thing I can't do is visit. They have no visitation so that is the only thing, but most nursing homes are not having visitors, and I can understand why. I have not seen it so I have no idea how it looked like, but he is in a room by himself. My father does not talk since his stroke so he can no longer speak. I can't communicate with him and I have to communicate with his nurses. They're giving him pureed food and thickened liquid.
But I was a little disappointed because on the day he came home, Monday, they told the hospital they could do the palliative care and put this package called Clinimix in him. When they were almost ready to put him into the ambulance to take him to the nursing home, the nursing home called and reneged and so the case manager there at the hospital was furious. Anyway, they called back, and they worked it out, but I did not think it was very professional.
All I've been in is their closed-in porch area, and it is very nice.
Unspecified · November 2020 My brother-in-law is now in Mills Manor (Mills Health and Rehab Center). We were only able to see the outside of the facility because of COVID. This is the second time that he has been there. The staff is very caring. The first time they worked with him, he was able to come along pretty quickly. This time, it's not so quickly.
Now, they do weekly meetings and phone meetings to talk about him, which I like, because they tell me how he's progressing or digressing, whatever the case is. The staff is just wonderful there. Back then, they managed to get a weight on him, and he could walk. They really worked with him. However, this time, he is not eating and stuff. It's not that the staff is not working with him, it's just that he doesn't want to do things.
The reason that we put him in the Mills Health and Rehab was because we thought that with his dementia, he might remember some of the people there or be familiar with the building itself inside. He does not participate in activities because he's only doing physical therapy and speech therapy.
They take great care of my great great grandmother and I feel safe knowing she's there. While my great grandmother was there they were lacking in their physical therapy as she had negative results after staying there for a while.
