NHC Healthcare - Glasgow

Called to ask if I could take my mom on the rehab side to get her a check for her new house told me someone would call me back they called next day asking how long it’s been since I came seen my mom I seen her 4 days ago was not feeling good got tested had Covid did not wanna go around her so they told me at that point the filed for protection services for neglect an I was trying to take her money moved her to another side of the building will not tell family the room number turned away all family my mother got to talk to me for a bit said they was all coming in there she don’t want them to have her check but banned me from the building now cops is investigating false reports an my lawyer is on the case

This is one of the worst Nursing Homes to ever exist in Glasgow. Not only is it horrible for patients, but they treat their staff like absolute garbage. I honestly don’t understand how they’re still open. I wouldn’t let them take care of my animals.

The staff here is so ridiculously rude to the residents it's unbelievable when you call to complain the administrator wants to tell you that she wasn't in the room and neither were you when all reality I was in the room for a couple of the occasions and spoke to one of the administrators yesterday about this it seems to be a consistent ongoing problem if you love your loved ones do not place them here. A little update my mother is no longer there. They took all of the ostomy supplies we come from the hospital with and sent her home without the stuff we need to be able to change the bags in the wafers. This place is such a rip-off I'm going to see what I can do about having the state shut them down

The bathrooms all stunk to high heavens of poop. There were dirty briefs in all the trash cans and trash was falling out of it. The staff was rude. They yelled at this one girl. It looked like she was from an agency. She was wearing a badge that didn’t say the name of the facility. I watched her. She was trying really hard, but all everyone seemed to care about was housekeeping, claiming that state was coming in. Well, I heard that state only comes in when something bad happens and someone has to fill out a form. There must have been many complaints on these surveys.

Highly recommended nursing facility, my Grandmother has been there for several years. Staff is very respectful and professional towards residents, and family members!

My mom was a resident at NHC Healthcare Glasgow. It has a rehab, assisted living, and skilled care; they got it all there. The building is old and dirty, but the staff is nice. She went there for rehab, but it was horrible. When she would decide to go to them, they did good with her. The staff was great with her, the caregivers were good. The rooms need updating; they need to update that facility. It looks like it's back in the 80s. As far as the rehab part, all mom did was sit in the dining room. They did not have any activities for them; due to COVID they had stopped it. It needs updating. It was dirty and cluttered. They had wheelchairs, and everything stored in the dining room. The food that I saw didn't look very appetizing. Medicare paid for most of it, but if we had the private pay, it would be very expensive.

We had to place our dad into a center where he could be safe 24/7, due to his worsening dementia. Soon after the placement Covid19 hit and everything change! Thankfully the heroes that work at NHC have kept their patients as comforted as possible without their families. We did get to visit, with social distancing early on and are now getting excited to resume those visits since the patients have received their vaccines!!!! So excited. Dad has seemed very well kept and his usual happy go lucky self. Thank you to all those special caregivers, you have made it a little easier knowing that dad has you there to fill our place till we can once again get back to somewhat normal.

The staff is excellent. They provide great care for my family memeber. Many I have met treat my family memeber as if they were part of their own family. It is great that they have a salon area, my family memeber loves to have their done. it makes them feel better. They have great activities that everyone is invited to participate in. the only thing i do not care for is having shared rooms. Especially sharring a room with someone who jus hollers all of the time.
