Reviews
for Stanton Nursing and Rehabilitation Center
My Dad has been in there twice. This time it will be his permanent home due to he needs 24 hour care. We cannot thank them enough for the wonderful care he receives and how caring the staff is. He is absolutely thriving and the staff are caring and wonderful. The peace we have knowing how well he is taken care is amazing. We thank each and everyone of the staff members. And the Fathers Day celebration was wonderful!
I live here and have been taking care of
Great team that care about the person. Highly recommend.
The most caring and hard working nurses and CNA's. They treat the residents like family .
Very friendly staff and the food is perfect!
The staff is so friendly and they respond quickly to the residents need the food is so good!!!
They took care of my mother, and now my father n law. The nurses and staff are extremely great, they feel like family. They do go the extra mile to make the residents feel like it's their home. The activities director goes the extra mile to get the residents involve in playing games, crafts, etc. I'd recommend anyone that has a loved one, that can't take care of their self to be put in Stanton Nursing Center. For the ones that says it's not a good facility, hasn't been there recently, if you think your loved one is not being taken care of then that's when you need to speak up about your concerns.
I have been very blessed to be able to work here. The relationships I have developed with residents, family members, and coworkers will last a lifetime. May everyone be as blessed as I am!
Great staff they are loving and caring they took care of my Mamaw they are apart of our family now
Great atmosphere here… feels like home great staff very attentive to the residents and GREAT FOOD
The worst facility out there. They should not even have their doors open. Do not send your loved one here.
Most incompetent place to have your loved one. They do just enough to get by.
Do not send your loved ones here horrible
My grandma walked herself into this facility walking and talking, holding her 1 year old great granddaughter and able to use the restroom on her home. Not a month later my grandma was bound to a wheel chair, didn’t know who anyone was and out of her mind and in briefs incontinent. Shortly after she was sent to the hospital because she was not eating. The doctor at the hospital said that she was severely dehydrated and impacted. She was sent home on hospice and a week later past away. Not once were we contacted at anytime by this facility to even ask how my grandma was from the time that they sent her to the hospital.
They did nothing to care for my mother, they housed her only. She went in active mobile and talking in two months she had bed sores and dead. They took her to the hospital because she was severely dehydrated and severely compacted and dropped her off, and we never once heard from them , she was there a week went home on hospice, still no word from them , not how is your mom, we’re sorry about you mom. Then one week later she passed, I still have yet to receive a call any condolences a card . Ooooo but they did send a bill. HA!! Would not recommend this place for anyone!!
My Mother-in-law is a resident. They are very good to her.
This a not a drug free facility they have Very poor service and quality very poor communication skills not the place for a loved one and not a place for your children to work at .there favorite modo is we’re alway here for you. . Know there only there for there self call many times to check on my aunt that had covid they never even told her nurse I called . There works through the building are very hatful They would have made better wardens than a long term health care center.
They took amazingly good care of my dad. I would recommend this place to anyone.
My husband, daughter, & I came down from Michigan about a month ago to visit my uncle & it was by far the worst nursing home I've been in. Overcrowding, poor staff & it reeked like urine & fecal matter throughout the entire facility. My uncle was abused there & will not be back thank goodness! It seems like most of the "positive " reviews I just read were posted within the last 3-4 weeks when this incident with my uncle occurred to make them look better. DO NOT SEND YOUR LOVED ONES HERE!
The residents of SNRC are treated very well by the employees. They have a lot of great events throughout the year such as their "senior prom" that was even covered by local news. Courtney Willoughby is the activity director that organizes all of these events and does an amazing job.
The nurses give great sponge baths! I cant wait to be a resident there someday!
The Stanton Nursing Home is filled with some of the best of the best!! I have had the pleasure of volunteering to help out with getting their residents ready for their prom. There is one person I’d love to shine the light on in particular because they go above and beyond for their residents + some. Courtney Willoughby, OF COURSE. Before Courtney became and activities director here nobody ever really heard much. She put the place on the map and got our community involved. I feel like because of her the residents smile a little more, and so do their families knowing they’re in good hands to feel a part of something.
wonderful staff!
Fantastic facility! The staff genuinely care for the well-being and satisfaction of their residents. They go above and beyond and do activities with their resident.
Great people here make for a caring facility.
I enjoy visiting Stanton Nursing Home. The staff is friendly and accommodating. I’m very impressed with the various events and activities that are planned and implemented for the residents.
The staff are great and they take good care of the patients. Thanks everyone for doing a wonderful job. Lisa Doolin
There’s no other place like Stanton Nursing and Rehabilitation. It’s a great environment for staff and residents. It’s my home away from home. Stanton has been a big part of my life for almost 4 years. Changes are being made everyday to improve the quality of life for our residents. We all love our residents and are proud to walk into their home to provide the care they need daily. The residents at Stanton are one of a kind and I truly believe they love their home and everyone who works in it. If you’re looking for a place for your loved one I 10/10 recommend Stanton, there’s no other place like it.
Wonderful facility. The staff are so kind and helpful. Great place to work and be a resident.
My papaw is a resident of Stanton Nursing and Rehabilitation. I couldn't ask for a better bunch of folks to care for him. Their care proves their hearts are truley in it. Thank you to a top notch staff!
Fantastic facility! The staff genuinely care for the well-being and satisfaction of their residents. They have activities that keep the residents engaged and active, and they have a wonderful time.
I was at Stanton for a couple of year. I then transferred to another build and the stress I had was unbelievable. I was so glad when I was asked to go back to Stanton nursing home. I have never seen any one be mean to our residents.
The staff at Stanton Nursing and Rehabilitaiton are amazing. Their is not a more dedicated , caring or compassionate team of staff in eastern Kentucky. The nurses and aides take great pride in the care they provide to the elderly. They really treat it as the residents home and they are guest in the residents home! One of the best nursing homes in Kentucky!
My dad was admitted to Stanton Nursing Rehab on Monday July 23 2019, last night on Wednesday July 25th he "fell" and we had no idea until we were contacted at 8 am this morning Thursday July 26th by UK hospital thay my dad had fallen and was in need of surgery because he had severed the tear duct in his right eye! The Nursing home did NOT call us until 3pm today, a full 12 hours after my father had fallen! They knew going in he was a fall risk, so we assumed appropriate measures were taken, they couldn't give us a reason for not contacting us when this happened except for saying we didnt have your number, which was a lie because it was given to them when he was signed into the home. This is unacceptable and further measures will be taken on our part, please do not bring your loved one to this place, they left my father, who is helpless and has dementia, laying on that floor and didnt bother to call us until 12 hours later! We are furious!
Once my brothers hospital records have been reviewed by my brothers attorney, I pray changes will be made there. It is CRIMINAL to allow such filth and incompetence. My brother who was a patient there for only 5 days before having to be admitted to the hospital suffering unbelievable neglect. Neglect that he will not recover from and is now in the care of hospice.
I can say they have been one of the worst nursing facilities i have ever been in by far . i have only been in a few but as far as how they treat their employees with not having the basic supplies they need to do their job as far as patient care watching one srna scream at another refusing to do her job. This is one of thw most unorganized places to be and no communication as well. They DO NOT appreiciate their workers whatsoever and could care less unles state or corporate is there . poor people deserve better care and management then will ever be provided from stanton nursing and rehab
We needed to put my father in law in here for just 2 weeks for physical and speech therapy. In the 3 days he was there they did no therapy saying his labs were not within tolerance. Being a CNA and my wife being a nurse in several different nursing homes, we have never heard of this being a reason not to do therapy. Since they did not want to do therapy they refused to help him go to the actual bathroom and made him wear a brief to poop all over himself. All 3 days me and my wife came in to him being covered in poop and we cleaned it ourselves. He will be leaving in the morning to a different facility to receive proper care. I beg anyone who has a family member here to have them moved or go ahead and just put them down. It would be more humane as they dont care here.
The staff is very friendly and patient. They are quick to help resolve problems with the patients. The facilities are what I assume to be average. There isn't a whole lot for the patients to do besides watch television and socialize. The patients have to share rooms and there is sometimes an aroma of bodily waste, although the facility seems to be clean. I saw no patients with soiled clothing nor did I see any bodily waste on the floors. The staff seems to be competent at giving the patients their required medication. The food seems to be on par with your common cafeteria. Of particular note is the fact that they have a separate rehabilitation facility on site. It was a large space and had all sorts of equipment for the patients to use with supervision. They also have some patients that are not invalid, but are there for rehabilitation only. I personally witnessed them helping one such patient with his rehabilitation after a stroke, and they seemed to be very knowledgeable in their practices.
