Reviews
for The Ashton on Dorsey
SOME STAFF ARE AMAZING EVER SINCE NEW PEOPLES SHOWED UP IN THIS PLACE IT HAS GOTTEN BAD THERE IS A REASON THEY NEED A EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, WELLNESS DIRECTOR AND A BUSINESS DIRECTOR AS A FORMER EMPLOYEE WHO QUIT ASAP DO NOT APPLY- DO NOT WORK HERE THEY PAY CHEAP 15 DOLLAR FOR CAREGIVER THEY A REASON WHY YOUR PEOPLES ARENT BEING TAKEN CARE OF
My mother in law has been at this location for 4 years. Prior to the current owners, she received great care. There was an activity director who kept the memory care residents involved, playing games and using cognitive skills. Now, there is no activity director. I was there today and the place stinks of urine. That NEVER was the case prior to the new owners. It was always impeccably clean. The staff sits around playing on their phones. She has fallen from her bed 4 times in a month. Really? After the second time they should have been all over that For over 7k per month, I would expect better care for her.
The personnel were friendly and competent. The facility was clean and neat. Very pleased.
Check in was easy and very accommodating. Very friendly environment with staff and residents. Room is very comfortable and feels like home.
Wonderful staff and wonderful services
Ashton was a very happy community of wonderful caregivers. They gave mom exceptional attention and worked hard to make sure she felt safe and cared for. Food was delicious most of the time.
Our mom settled in very well, and she was happy for the 7 months she was there. Ashton is a very welcoming place and the staff is very dedicated to the residents the caregivers are wonderful exhibiting kindness and patience to all. I would recommend Ashton to anyone looking for a happy new home for mom or dad.
Rooms are well maintained. Food is good. Staff are friendly and helpful. Husband loves Happy Hour activity twice a week.
Many activities to enjoy throughout the day. I feel so fortunate that my mom is being well taken care of and I don鈥檛 have to worry about her. Staff is always welcoming and residents seem happy whenever I interact with them.
Great staff 馃憤
Ashton on Dorsey, one of the nicest places you'll find in Louisville . People are super nice too. Classy place all the way around
Facility is very clean. Excellent staff. Everyone is friendly & helpful. Great activities every day! Highly recommend.
All complaints have been addressed and my dad鈥檚 experience is now meeting expectations with one exception. CNTs are not monitoring during showers to avoid falls. I was told they would but he鈥檚 been here 2.5 weeks with no supervision during showers. Otherwise very happy that therapy has finally begun and we are very thankful for that
I enjoy coming there to visit my loved one 3 days every week. It is a bright and cheerful place. The residents and staff greet me with a smile. And are friendly. It is a clean place with people working to keep it that way.
The facility has changed management and gone up on the cost. We've noticed some decline in service, but are hopeful it's just kinks being worked out. The staff is SUPER kind and attentive to concerns.
When it came time to find a new home for Mom, we toured multiple facilities and found the perfect place at The Ashton on Dorsey. It is the people that work there that make this the best. All the staff know Mom's name and always stop what they are doing to talk with her. The staff treat the residents like family and encourage participation in daily activities. Mom made the comment one day regarding the staff, "they must go to a class on how to be nice, because everyone is so nice here." Mom is happy and safe in her new home at The Ashton on Dorsey.
After mom got COVID and fell several times in one day, she was admitted to the hospital. She went from the hospital to rehab and 10 days later she moved into the Ashton. We had looked at several other places but the Ashton had the best feel. We were worried mom might be sad and miss home, but everyone is so friendly and there is so much to do, she settled right in. She鈥檚 very happy and we know she鈥檚 safe. What more could you ask for? The Ashton is the answer to our prayers.
My mom has always felt welcome at the Ashton. The staff and other residents are always so friendly. They have so many activities and events planned throughout the year. I don鈥檛 feel like I have to worry about her knowing she is in a safe environment. Nice grounds to sit outside and also, close to just about everything you need. So thankful that a place like the Dorsey on Ashton is available.
I'm extremely pleased with the Ashton. Aside from it being a beautiful place to live, both the staff and fellow residents have been very welcoming of my mother from day one. It's truly been an answered prayer.
The Ashton on Dorsey has been a true blessing for my mother and my family - from the beautiful facility, cleanliness, the caring staff, activities, meals, social outings... everything! It's wonderful!
The Ashton is a welcoming place with a concierge who is helpful and knowledgeable. [name removed] with the business office is always ready to solve any problems that you might have. The nursing staff is amazing, especially Nurse [name removed], and aide [name removed]. They are ready to assist with any problems at all times .Wellness Director, [name removed], is always responsive to concerns that patients and families may have. [name removed], Director of Activities, provides a schedule of the activities of the coming month. Pretty nails with [name removed] and Bible Study with [name removed]are most enjoyable! The Staff of the dining room is attentive and aims to please. The overall experience is positive at The Ashton for those in need of personal care.
We are so happy with the Ashton on Dorsey. The atmosphere is lovely and so beautiful. The activities are fun, engaging and keep our mom from being isolated. The staff is so kind and supportive from the minute you walk in the door. We never have to worry about her personal care. The administration, front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, kitchen staff, activity staff, salon & aides are all so caring and treat our loved one like she is at home. They will all do anything for her. The food is delicious. She is so full of life & joy living here.
I like the size. It's nice a small. The floor memory care is on is well set and we would recommend The Ashton on Dorsey to other families who may need a place for their loved ones
Yes I would highly recommend The Ashton On Dorsey, formerly known as Anthology. Excellent staff. Friendly. Clean.
I would highly recommend Anthology of Louisville. The facility is beautiful! The staff are very attentive and friendly. The one important area of concern I will lift up is that the community is not very diverse, which is a concern when you think about cultural things like food and entertainment choices, religious service options, etc. The staff is diverse, but that's not the same as having neighbors who look like you. Overall, Anthology is a great facility and my Dad is comfortable there, which makes me happy. But all long term care facilities (the lack of diversity was an issue at all facilities we toured) need to look at strategies to meet the whole person needs of each resident and you can't do that without addressing diversity and inclusion.
Very friendly staff. All areas were clean and bright and had an inviting feel.
I would say it is a great place to consider and they should check it out. Price and location were factors for us. I would recommend. My mother has been there 60 days now and is adjusting better than anticipated.
seems very clean
Caring helpful staff, very clean, great food, very large amount of activities , communication with family excellent. Helpful with move in. I would highly recommend to others, but quite pricey.
I visited Jean Lewis. It was wonderful. Everyone was very polite and it was a nice visit.
What has made Anthology of Louisville such a great experience so far is the staff. The staff team there are so carrying. I love that my mom is there and is engaged with everyone. Based on the experience we have had so far, we would absolutely recommend this community to others.
Lovely place to visit! Sonbeam the Clown
My father just passed away after 6 months in Memory Care at Anthology. My family could not be happier with the care givers and staff. We witnessed the love, patience and wonderful care many times when visiting Dad. Thank you Anthology.
Very warm friendly and welcoming inviroment.
A beautiful, welcoming environment. Happy, helpful and friendly staff. I was impressed. Residents were everywhere. I liked it. Glad my friend is here.
Everyone was so kind and helpful. Beautiful place.
It was a very good visit
This place treats me so well. Great staff. [name removed] is a wonderful caregiver and there is always something to do. I have loved living here. They treat me so kindly and the staff always says hello when they pass in the hallways. I feel cared for and welcomed.
I have no complaints about this community. I love the staff and the care I receive. I'm happy with the food and the activities. I feel respected and they preserve my dignity. I love living here and can't imagine being anywhere else.
Our family had an in person tour with Anthoogy of Louisville and we really liked this community. We were able to meet with the director who took us on the toured and we absolutely loved one but for our Aunt we felt it might just not be the right place. However the staff members we met with were not only knowledgeable about their community but also with the industry as a whole and they did a great job answering all of our questions.
Everything about it is perfect. It's immaculate. It's pretty. It's welcoming, clean, and fresh. My mom and I both can't say enough good things about it. The staff is amazing. They are more than I could have hoped for. Everybody knows mom by her name. They know her issues and her likes or dislikes. They are very personable and very engaging. There are tons of activities every day and they encourage her to attend multiple times a day. There's a lot of variety that keeps them interested and engaged. The food is very fresh. They have gourmet chefs on site all day, every day. The residents have meetings with the chefs to say what they like, what they don't like, and what they would like to see more of. The chefs come out and talk to them during meal time so the chef and dining room staff get to know them. They have live music every night. They have people come in and play the guitar or the piano. They have happy hour every evening where they can have alcohol if they want. They have arts and crafts and what they called "a walk down memory lane" where they play old music or look at old pictures. They have fitness instructors come in and lead seated workouts. They go on outings for treats, snacks, shopping, or to the botanical gardens. They bring llamas to the facility and have therapy dog visits weekly. They have just anything you can think of.
The head of care was very hard to work with. I wouldn't recommend the community to others for their loved ones. There were three meals a day provided to the residents and there had choices to choose from. There were activities available for the residents to participate in as well.
First Class
I do think that the staff could do better with communication internally about what the to expect - there is definitely room for improvement there. I know that their heart is in the right place and they have great potential, overall we have been very pleased with the experience. They have tons of activities available for the residents and the food is good. I would recommend Anthology of Louisville to others looking and in fact already have.
Hello, my name is [name removed]. I currently perform for the Anthology residents once a month during a happy hour event. I can say a few great things about Anthology based on my experience during these events. First off, the campus always looks great! The residents always seem to be in a great mood, ready to sing along, dance or just listen to the music. The staff always seems attentive to the needs of the residents. If you have not checked out Anthology yet for your family member(s), I highly recommend you scheduling a visit today!

This facility is warm , clean and friendly. The staff is professional and dedicated to making everyday a beautiful experience for their residents. It takes a team to make this happen, and this team exceeds expectations.
I am POA for a person living at Anthology. She was actually one of the first to move in when built. We have had so many positive results with ALL of the staff. I have recommended this facility to lots of people. I am forever grateful for all the patience and help they have given. Could not have found a better place for her to live.
