Reviews
for The Springs at Stony Brook
Great community and caring staff!
By far the best healthcare facility I鈥檝e been in. I LOVE The Springs at Stonybrook. Nursing homes sometimes have the stereotype of being understaffed and having crappy management, but this one is not like that at all. The staff is amazing and care for the residents like family. There鈥檚 some past facilities I鈥檝e worked in that I know I would never move a family member into, but if I had someone I love who needed a place to go I know this is a place I would trust and be happy with!
Absolutely love everything about The Springs at Stony Brook! Staff are great, but the RESIDENTS Make it Amazing!
This is the best facility in Louisville! The teamwork is unmatched and the staff care for their residents like they are family.
The atmosphere here is amazing. One big happy family and I am so happy to work here. Everyone truly cares for the wellbeing of our patients. Thankful for all of our residents, families, and staff. You all are awesome!!
As a witness I say please be on guard if sending your loved one here, what's pretty on the outside isn't pretty in the inside. Future employees included. Lovely residents and kitchen staff at least.
This is a wonderful facility. It felt like a community. The staff was caring and you could tell they genuinely cared for the people who were staying there both in long term and rehab. We were there everyday and can say that even those people who did not have someone there daily were treated like family by staff. I can not say more about how great they were. If you have a choice where your loved one stays this placeshould be top of your list. You could tell the staff supported one another. No egos here. There only goal seemed to be providing the best care. They had activities that we regularly saw people participating in and there was a sense of pride in those who lived in assisted living and called Stoneybrook their home.My mother ended up in hospice and they were truly wonderful to her as well as me and my sister.
I want to brag on my grandma a little bit, my grandma always like to color in her coloring book and she always loved watching her soap opera's. I've always love my grandma and I would go see her everyday before I go to work and it's funny she would always ask mom is it wine time or is it din din time. I'm surprised she knew my name before she lose her memory, she would introduce me to her friends at the springs nursery home and I would sit there and visit her till it was her dinner time but we all visited her before she passed away and visited her after she passed away. we were all upset and crying our eyes out because she passed away that Monday morning, now she has crossed the rainbow 馃寛 Bridge. now she's up in heaven with my paw paw and my Grammy, and with everyone else that crossed the rainbow 馃寛 Bridge! You will be missed grandma we love you very much, till we meet again 鉂わ笍 by the way happy valentine's day in heaven grandma
My grandmother went to this facility for rehab after a surgery, which then turned into Hospice support on the memory care unit. The staff was amazing from start to finish, the care they provided and the support they gave my family made it so helpful for us all. We are forever grateful and I would recommend this facility to any who ask.
My husband was at The Springs at Stony Brook for a short time. We were fine while he was there. We were fine with the people there, also. We've been very lucky with people, I will have to say. He was better, health-wise than he was when he was over there. He had physical therapy there. He never complained about the food. They brought his meals to his room.
The Springs at Stonybrook provided loving health care to my mother-in-law. The nursing staff is amazing.
My mother has had 2 stays at The Springs at Stony Brook and I have been very pleased both time. Thank you to the staff and campus leaders for always being compassionate, caring and understanding when caring for the residents. My mother really loved her nursing staff and her CRCA's that cared for her. My mother suffers from dementia and sometimes that's a hard transition when they are taken from the comfort of their home/surroundings. This staff made sure she was comfortable and cared for and this made it very easy for her while she was their. Again I can't say enough great things about the staff, leadership and their caring hearts.
We visited The Springs at Stony Brook today to see if it was a place where my 88 year old mother could rehab after her hospital stay. We were greeted by a nice man who started our tour. However it was interrupted by a woman who actually worked at another Trilogy nursing home who was filling in for one of the directors (I think). Instead of highlighting the positive points about The Springs, at Stoneybrook, she talked non-stop about how wonderful and beautiful the sister nursing home was where she worked at. She actually leaned in and offered us a 20% discount on each month's stay if we brought my mom there. She actually had no idea what our situation was and didn't even ask if we were looking for rehab only or rehab to an extended stay. We was shocked and appalled at how unprofessional she was. How can a person representing a nursing home offer a 20% discount on a bed/room that medicare is covering after a hospital stay? The conversation with her made us feel uneasy and uncomfortable. I'm sure she was just trying to give us options and offer up another place for us to look, but if we wanted to visit the nursing home she primarily worked at we would have gone there on our own. The nice man that was taking us around for the tour was obviously uncomfortable as much as we were and felt the need to apologize. Her unsolicited sales pitch for the place where she worked was enough to help us make the decision to choose another facility altogether.. We do appreciate the man who originally helped us and eventually ended our tour. He was very professional and handled the situation with grace.
The staff at The Springs at Stony Brook are very caring, genuine people. They take the time to ensure that each person gets the care they need. Thank you to the leadership team for providing quality care each day.
My aunt has stayed at several nursing homes over the years and The Springs at Stony Brook was by far the best one she has been to. If you scroll through my reviews you will see some of the nursing home nightmares listed! And those are only the worst of the bunch! My aunt passed away this month and I wanted people to know the excellent care she received over the last three years. Especially with staff having to deal with the COVID virus. In the last year she was staying in the memory care unit which can be a bit difficult but the staff were great. The building was clean and without the typical body smells associated with poorly run nursing homes. And if I did have a concern it was dealt with immediately. Thank You Springs!
Beyond understaffed & resident abuse state should be called
Most unorganized facility I have ever experienced. Very poorly run. Lost half of my mother in laws clothing. No one was ever available to answer the phones.
My mother was at The Springs at Stony Brook for about 3 weeks. During the Covid, you couldn't go and visit when you wanted to and when she came home, I had to take her right back to the hospital because in that 3 weeks her blood count was down. She was severely dehydrated, she had bed sores on her butt and she was really under nourished. I don't know if it was because nobody paid attention that she was eating everything or drinking anything, but everybody's got their hands forward this Covid stuff. I wasn't pleased with what happened. I even had to pay a $2900 just to hold a bed for between the time she went there for a night and the next day they sent her back to the hospital with a stroke, so then I held that bed there for a week. From the hospital, she went to Springs at Stony Brook for 3 weeks. Then when she came home, she was in that condition, so she was back to the hospital again, but this time from leaving the hospital I decided to bring her home. She was just pretty bad. Also while mom was in the hospital I asked if hospice would evaluate her there and they said, "Yes, it's probably best." I don't think they did a very good job. I wasn't very happy about it. When somebody is in there and is weak, I think they need to observe if they are eating or they are drinking. I know everybody don't have a lot of time, but a lot of times I could hear the staff staying in the hallways talking about themselves when they could have spent the time checking just sitting or standing and watching that residents are eating and they're drinking, keeping themselves nourished. The facility was a brand-new and it was a year old. I thought it was a good place.
My mother is in The Springs at Stony Brook. They're a full facility. It's impressive, well kept and brand new. The staff overall is good and the services are good. I have had one problem and that's personal items being stolen. I guess they accidentally threw her teeth. She has some partial plates and they threw them away. I had to immediately get her into a dentist to get them replaced, but it took them three months to refund my money. Also my mother has lost clothing and they have not been really responsive to that. One of the most important things that was stolen from her room was her personal phone book and diary and that's irreplaceable. My mother is rather handicapped because of the disorder that she has, so she couldn't do any activities. They have their in-house physical therapy and speech therapy. They have activities for the people, but I don't know what they are. Every room has a TV. They also have a TV room and a salon. Food is excellent and my mother loves the food. My problem is I can't determine their bookkeeping system. I got proofs and documents that showed the inconsistencies of what's going on. They need to improve on their bookkeeping. Their cost has gotten so prohibitive versus what my budget is.
The residents there are amazing absolutely amazing. The facility is beautiful so clean. The staff there is amazing as well i absolutely loved my co workers. The management there is a complete JOKE well mainly the director of nursing. She is the most unprofessional person I have ever met in my entire life. She has no idea how to run a building or Staff a building she takes everything personal. God forbid you try to better yourself. She has ran off 90 percent of the staff because she is a dragon. She alsotells peoples personal business to other staff members. Calling staff at all hours of the night to gossip about other staff members. She also called an aide at 11 pm and fired her for personal reasons that management had been told about prior to her being hired on. That building will not survive as long as she works there. They preach trilogy standards but they do not follow them at all. Playing favorites and hazing the ones that don't follow her. And all this shows she doesn't care about the residents. And that breaks my heart she ran off all the staff that actually works and loves the patients. She is a JOKE JOKE JOKE
Horrible, place. Nurses are nice but most at not helpful and lie about what they will do. Office staff say worse rude on cell phones giggling when supposed to be helping me. Stay away.
We loved the new facility and care each and every staff member took with my Mother.
If I could give this place a lower score, I would. The care is absolutely horrible. 5pm in the evening and patient has not received morning medications yet. Don鈥檛 put your love one there! Nurse is rude and horrible. Please don鈥檛 put your loved one there!
Beautiful facility, it definitely doesn't have that clinical or nursing home feel. The Personal Care Rooms are a little smaller than other facilities we've looked at. I think maybe the admissions staff (or whatever you call them) are a little overwhelmed with the new opening and I'm sure they have a lot of families interested in their facility, so just go in with some patience for the tour. Everyone was very nice, though, I would have no concern about the level of respect my mom would be given here.
Great facility. Exceptional resident care!
Very nice but too expensive for services offered.
