Reviews
for Villaspring of Erlanger
Good afternoon, I would like to send my deepest gratitude to the team at Villa Springs. During my mother’s stay, they have always reached out to me about her appointments and her overall well being. Tuesday I received a phone call from the team notifying me that my mother was in critical condition and made sure I made the correct decision for her health. There continues dedication and handwork shows how much they care for not only their patients but also the families.
I had to place my Mother here when she needed more assistance that I could not provide. I have no complaints with the care she received. I had a few issues with the aides not placing the call light on her gown, not that I thought she could use it but just in case, also had to address that her bedside table was across the room instead of next to her bed. The last issue was for safety. Mom was a fall risk and sometimes they did not put her bed to the lowest setting. Mom did not realize she could no longer walk and tired to get out of bed to use the restroom. My mom was placed in Hospice in January of this year and her health declined pretty rapidly. My mom passed on 3/15/26. There were a few aides that provided exceptional care. Nurse Joy was very helpful but didn't interact with too many of the other nurses.
I highly recommend this facility. My Mom has been living here for 5 years. Nurses, doctors and staff are caring and compassionate. Sometimes things aren't quite right, but the staff and management are open to listening, making changes or correcting a situation. My Mom has been in the rehab section and in long term care. I am visit often to keep on top of what is happening with her. When the time does arrives for the difficult conversation with a loved one, that they need more care than you have to give, this is a great place to make that happen. If I had to make the choice again of where Mom would be cared for, I would choose this facility in Erlanger.
I've been in the Medical Field for 40+ yrs,And I must say ,This place is By far the best Nursing home and Rehab Center I've ever had the pleasure of working with. Its huge,Very clean,Updated furnishings,Happy Residents,Make happy Certified Nursing assistants,And staff.Im happy here,And hoping to retire here as well ❤️🩹
This is a wonderful facility, that I have placed my own loved ones in. My aunt had nothing but great things to say, after being discharged from Villa Spring. From the administrator to the nurse aides, their care is top notch and patient centered. The staff work cohesively as a team, to provide the best care, for your loved ones. Staff is attentive and loving. Safety was a top priority. All departments work together to give the best experience for all patients and residents. There will be a day when I need help caring for my mother and I will not hesitate, to place her care in Villa Spring.
This place is no place for your loved ones. When we walked in to see my loved one they had numerous elderly people in wheelchairs lined up in front of the nurses station so they could "keep a watch on them" and they all looked depressed and sad. It tugged at my heartstrings so bad. If you love your people's find somewhere else for them to go where the nurses aren't so lazy they have to line people against the wall to "keep an eye on them" That's not right on so many levels. These patients should be cared for in a much better manner than this place is doing. My next call is the health department
I absolutely love therapy! Every therapist that I have met is a super person. When I first came here I couldn't walk, but with their help I have improved so much! Soon I will hopefully be walking on my own! Everyone at the facility is great!
I’ve been an employee for nearly 20 years. I have worked both as an STNA and now a nurse. Villaspring is a great place to work at for skilled and long-term care. The team is supportive, management listens, and the environment is focused on quality resident care and teamwork. I’ve learned a lot and feel valued as a nurse here.
My great aunt was at this facility. She absolutely loved the therapy. Couldn’t imagine going anywhere else. The staff is friendly, experienced, and genuinely care for your loved ones.
Wonderful facility! Everyone is so sweet and helpful. A true family atmosphere. I was there visiting a friend and she loves it as well. Well done Villaspring!
Very clean facility. Amazing staff
My mom was here at Villaspring Nursing & Rehab Center a couple of months ago and we had a great experience. The nursing staff was very attentive to her needs . She went through therapy there and the therapy dept got my mom walking again. It was really a good experience.
Therapy department amazing! Very good outcome!
Staff is wonderful, kind and always helpful.
I can not express how grateful I am for this place. My Grandmother was well taken care of during her stay at Villasprings. She was 95 and in her right mind before she passed on June 10th. They always contacted me and my brother upon any condition change with her and treated her like the wonderful women that she was.Thank you, thank you!
horrible place!!!!! Yall the reason why my grandma aint here today !!!! She wasnt even in yalls care for 24 hrs !
My grandmother was transferred here after being released from st.elizabeth. My grandmother was 85, recovering from pneumonia, very low potassium (that kept going up and down), as well as being on the cusp of cardiac arrest. She was sent here July 15th. I visited the same day she got transferred here and my grandmother could not speak, heavily disoriented, and looked very ill. Regardless of the physical signs, my grandmother was not hooked to a heart monitor, or anything at all. They had called my aunt and told her that my grandmother was talking, as well as eating the morning of July 16th, which left us in disbelief because of how she looked, and also acted just the night before. We put trust in them and had hope that she would return home after the 20 days. They insisted on taking my grandma to physical therapy that morning even though she could not even hold her upper body up. She also had issues with this at the hospital, which caused her heart rate to shoot up to 160. My aunts visited her that morning but left after they took her for therapy. 3 hours later, we got a phone call my grandmother had passed away. I know that this isn’t entirely on the nursing home, however, someone can tell when a person is in physical distress, and I don’t think pushing an 85 year old who had a history of heart issues to do physical therapy without being monitored by a medical instrument was smart. They decided to set my grandma in her wheelchair and let her sit, only for them to come back to her passed away. I knew my grandmother didn’t have too much longer left, but I can’t help but think she would still be here today if they could’ve just let her body rest. The staff that I had met were very respectful and helpful. However, be cautious, and if you see something off about your loved one speak up.
Please, do your loved ones a favor and AVOID sending them here.
My family and I are so grateful for all the loving and caring nurses at Villaspring. My sweet Grandma went there for end of life care and they were all so sweet, caring, and compassionate. You can tell they truly care about their residents. We will never forget the love and care they showed Mawmaw during her final days.
I came to Villaspring from Highlandspring in December 2018, still going strong I love Villaspring! Many of my own family has been through here patient and employee.
My loved one was at Villa Springs in Erlanger recently. The therapy department I felt did an outstanding job. The nursing department and their clinical capabilities, as well as the administration running the facility I would score a 0 in stars. I will leave it at that. I certainly would not recommend this facility to anyone I cared about or anyone who asked me based on my experience. I am a licensed nursing home administrator/preceptor and have been in the long term care industry for approximately 28 years in over 22 states.
Aalyah helped my family navigate a difficult time and made it the best experience possible. I hope she knows how much this means to my family and I❤️
Really terrible Facility. Did not protect my grandfather. Do not send your parents or grandparents here.
Villa Springs is a hidden secret! They have great and caring staff members that have listened to my dad’s needs and personalized his care! They work as a team, have great rotating staff so they all know what my dad needs and desires are even if he isn’t their patient that day! Their entire team of therapist have the same goal as we do of getting him back home!
My mom was admitted to this facility for two weeks for physical therapy to help her become more mobile. My stepdad bought her all new clothing for her stay because at home she only wore nightgowns. I also purchased her some drinks and snacks. Mom fell twice within a 24 hour timeframe. After 4 days of this place we made the decision to get her out of there. I mean how is she going to learn to walk better if she falls and breaks a hip? Once she was home we opened the bag of clothing they gave us and none of it was hers. There were men’s clothing in the bag. None of the new clothing made it home with her. Not a surprise considering she was wearing someone else’s clothing when we picked her up. Her snacks were in a bag untouched. I guess they couldn’t be bothered with actually offering her a snack. Mom said she was never bathed during her visit so my stepdad immediately gave her a bath at home. That’s when we saw the massive bruises in various places on her body. She went there to learn to walk. She left there in worse shape than she arrived in. We have documented her bruises and care (or lack of care) . I was optimistic . I am now furious, mortified and have a lot of guilt for letting her go there. Please- do not send your loved one here. I’m sure the staff tries but there are way too many patients for each worker to tend to so they end up neglected. My mom will be cared for at home. She has never fallen or gone dirty at home. She was so happy to get out of there. If you are considering this place- don’t.
