Richmond Place

Richmond Place is a lovely community. My experiences here have only been enjoyable. The exceptional staff are always accommodating.

I have been coming to Richmond place to visit a friend weekly for about six months,the place is always clean and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful

The residents are lovely, interesting and friendly, and the staff is wonderful. The food has gotten much better as well. I wish we had more activities, and I look forward to seeing how they expand. The grounds are beautiful, I love to look at the flowers and the yards. I do not always agree with decisions made by corporate, but I love the staff here in the building.

I like the cleanliness here, and I like how easy it is to go from one place to another. It’s been a great community for my dog Daisy as well. The grounds are great and a treat to walk my dog through.

It's been a positive experience. I enjoy my neighbors and the other people who live here with me. Cindy and MyLee and all the staff have been kind and helpful. Our dining room experience is good, and the food is really good. It has gotten much better since I moved in five and a half years ago, it has been a big improvement.

I do like it here, I moved here from my home earlier this year. Clearing my home out has taken much of my time, even after moving here. Because of that, having a place to relax here has been an incredible help to me. I think they serve dinner a little early, but I’m always able to get my dinner to-go and have it later in the evening.

From the moment I entered Richmond Place for my scheduled tour, I had a very warm feeling about it. I have now lived here for a year and that feeling has only grown. I tell my friends that living here is like living in an all-inclusive resort at the edge of a park. Richmond Place provides for a happy, healthy, and holistic lifestyle for seniors. The very best thing about living at Richmond Place is the people, the residents and the staff. Here, you are part of a community, a caring community; especially impressive is that the staff not only takes care of us, but they also care about us. At Richmond Place, you feel like everybody knows your name.

My husband and I have lived here for 4 years and we have made so many great friends. The staff and facility is wonderful. The pool is the highlight. Feels like I'm at a resort. The food is really good, we love Ross and Zack. They listen to our suggestions and it's appreciated

I came before the big renovation, and I must say they have done such a marvelous job updating the community. The gym and the kitchen have especially come a long way. My favorite part about this place is the staff, they took me in and made me feel like family from Day 1. I love the variety of activities, from book club to card club to parties and celebrations; there's plenty to do as long as you have the desire to do it. I like the idea that there are higher levels of care on our campus and I don't have to worry about making a big move if I ever need more help. That gives me peace of mind.

My granddaughter Jessica works here and convinced me that it would be a good place to live, so I gave it a chance. I really like the food here, especially the pizza and the chocolate ice cream that you can get anytime in the cafe. I also love how pet friendly they are here. I can walk my dog, Molly, all around the courtyard and it’s like a great big dog park for her. Everybody here loves dogs so Molly always gets lots of love. She likes to sit on my bay window and watch all the people who pass by. It’s a very nice place for both of us to live, I would recommend it to anyone.

The staff and the residents here are very friendly, and that has been the most pleasant part of my time here. I think Danae does a wonderful job and leaves a great first impression at our front desk. Keanu was my Move-in Coordinator and he was a huge help with getting me adjusted and introduced to the community. The activities department does a great job with events and decorations, but I wish they had an additional staff member to be able to put on more activities and take more suggestions. As for the dining menu, there are things I like and things I don't like. We need less chicken and less pasta, and less food with special sauces. I think it would help if the Cafe was open longer in the evening. Less repetition in the menu would help. I have a few suggestions for security as well, I believe we need more coverage for the desk whenever security needs to step away to handle an emergency. I also believe more attention needs to be paid to the perimeter doors around the community. I do miss my home from time to time but I do value the relationships I've built here.

Our family had a wonderful experience with the staff here while my grandma was a resident. Everyone was kind, caring, and treated her with dignity and respect. It gave us peace of mind knowing she was in such good hands. We are very grateful for the compassion and support they showed her and our family.

Last month we moved mom into Richmond Place Independent Living. As a family, we were not sure she would easily adjust to a new lifestyle; however, it has been less than a month and she is truly enjoying her new home. Neighbors were quick to welcome her and she often tells me how much she enjoys the meals and the variety of food offered. Everyone we worked with was patient as we tried to understand the process of choosing an Independent Living Community. We first met with Jessica, who put us at ease immediately, answered all of the same questions I’m sure she’s heard a million times and as we explained, it would be several months before mom could move. Jessica listened, but, never pushed. We kept in touch and she was able to offer us an apartment that fit all of mom’s needs. Our move-in coordinator was Keanu, who made the preparations and move-in day went smoothly. He was always available to answer our questions, coordinate maintenance needs, and explain day-to-day procedures. Keanu made sure getting settled was effortless. We have talked with many others including Danae, the welcoming smile when you first come in, as well as Jake and his Maintenance team. Everyone has been kind, efficient and willing to make Richmond Place a great community. We are very thankful for everyone that has made this life transition pleasant for our family.

I like how big this community is, as well as how clean it is. Near spotless, and smells great too. The maintenance has been very accommodating with fixing things up. The servers in the dining room are pleasant. There are a lot of varied activities at different times of the day. My in-house mailbox is always stuffed full of notices, flyers, and calendars letting me know just how much is going on around here. The resident app is good, it's broad, deep, and inclusive. The Resident Council is helpful for both residents and staff, and I'm glad it's something we have here. I would certainly recommend it to anyone looking for a good senior community.

The atmosphere here is totally different than anything I've ever experienced, in the best way. I have made friends I would have never even met if not for me living here. It is so active and there is so much to get into everyday, there is always a new oppurtunity.

I lived here for almost 2 years and I truly enjoy the people and friendships ive built. I enjoy attending the wine club and playing poker with my friends! I also enjoy walking around the community and so does my dogs.

I moved into Richmond Place three months ago and my experience has been fantastic. The staff is great, there is always something to do, and my neighbors have already become my friends. I would recommend Richmond Place to anyone looking for themselves or their parents!

Wonderful staff here at the community. Keanu was a pleasure to work with since I’ve moved in. The gym is really nice and has helped me become stronger. I enjoy the server Mary, she’s really sweet and helpful. Ian in the bistro is amazing as well.

After 60 days I’m finally feeling like I live here. There so much great stuff to learn and so many people and faces to remember. I really enjoy the fitness, church, water exercise and the food! I’ve gained weight living here and have made great friends. I’m very comfortable here.

I’ve lived at Richmond Place for almost 10 years. My husband and I moved here because he had dementia. We were able to live in Independent Living, until my husband moved to memory care. I stayed in IL while he was in MC and lived the peace of mind it gave me knowing he was on the same campus as he was. I still own my lake home and have no desire to leave. I love it here!

I was dog sitting for one of my best friends when my nightmare happened, her senior spaniel got bloat. This Clinic saved his life and worked with her on payment, even though she was on the West Coast. The people were so wonderful.

After much convincing and with the incredible patience and support of Jessica and the entire team at Richmond Place Independent Living, we finally moved my mother in—and it’s truly the best decision we’ve made. The transition was smoother than we ever imagined, and now she’s not just settled, she’s thriving. Seeing her happy, engaged, and enjoying her new community brings us so much peace of mind. We’re beyond grateful for the care and dedication shown by everyone involved.

Nice socialable clean living dining place. Like home atmosphere with all the staff and management who go out of there way to make life here much more tolerable.

I am a SRNA and I recently had a visit with my client whom I work with thru a healthcare company. When I tell you this place blew me away. It smelled great, looked beautiful just as the pictures portrayed, and the food omg smelled lovely, though sadly I have to wait until the client moves in to try 😢. I was so happy to be able to see my client in a place that fit more like home rather than an institution. The staff were pleasantly friendly and answered all our questions and concerns, took time with us and made me and my client feel grateful, that now safety and comfort would no longer be a concern.

As a preferred vendor of Richmond Place Senior Living, it has been a privilege to support the facilities and its residents throughout the better course of a year! Services provided to the residents have been all encompassing and the entire staff and management team have assisted and fully supported all quality of life requests to include their new HVAC cooling tower, landscaping enhancements, and improving entire property services and amenities overall. There isn't enough to say about the transformation this property and management company on how they handle requests and improvements through their ongoing day to day handling of the facilities and working with their vendors to elevate their services. Always striving to exceed expectations!

As in all places have some really good and caring staff and just there for paycheck. The campus stuck out over other places.

This review is for Richmond Place Memory Care- poor communication among staff and to us as we tried to navigate this with our mom. Although the activities and activities staff were good, many other staff seemed overwhelmed or in a rush many times, to the point of being a safety issue. Turnover was very high. Mom declined rapidly at this location. We moved her recently, thank goodness, and she has improved since then. We reached out to Silver Lexington for help in our search for a new place, and we are so glad we did. They were extremely helpful. One lesson also learned- if you are looking for Memory Care for your parent, find a place with a designated manager just for memory care to ensure more attention to detail.

Our mom was in the Memory Care building for approximately 5 months. It became very clear that the emphasis was on convenience to the staff and not care. While there are several good caregivers and activity leaders there, the staff was generally inconsistent, seemed overwhelmed, and not to informed about moms needs. She went from being able to walk with a walker to sitting in a wheelchair most days. We did have several meetings and communicated our concerns with the management, but very little changed. After moving her to a more resident-focused facility, she was brighter and walking with a walker within two weeks. The improvement was remarkable. We are so glad we made the move.

The staff is dedicated and friendly to everyone. Richmond Place (Reflection Building) is light and clean, the meals are appetizing and full of daily activities for everyone. I am grateful for the good care my love one receives.

I volunteered at Richmond Place through my church. The staff and residents were so welcoming to us. We’re so excited about volunteering again in May!

Richmond Place is such a beautiful place. My mother in law enjoyed her days there and the staff activity coordinator. I would Highly Recommend.

I run my own small moving business, A-1 Affordable Mover, and I have worked with this community on a regular basis for the past five years. The staff has great communication, and the residents are the friendliest people you've ever met. Big thanks to Keanu, Scott, Britney, Ricky, and all the other people who are always good to me when I come through. You know your family is in good hands with them.

My grandmother has lived at Richmond Place for just over a year now, and she couldn't be happier. The staff really go out of their way to make life easy for their residents. From Step 1 of planning the move-in, all the way until now, the staff has been all hands on deck every step of the way. Grandma has made a ton of new friends, and everyday she's doing a different activity. As someone who lives three hours out of Lexington, it makes my day a lot easier knowing she's in good hands.

This is my second time to move to Richmond Place and I couldn’t ask for a better experience! Everybody was welcoming and gracious. One of the really positive experiences was the attention given by Keanu Jones. He was ever-present in getting the logistical processes handled. He followed up personally and to top it all presented me with a welcome bag that was a pleasant surprise! The maintenance staff also was engaged in getting me set up and into my new home and provided a positive experience . I appreciate all the interaction of the family environment that I feel at Richmond Place. No better Welcome Home could have been had!

Richmond place is such a beautiful place. My mother-in-law enjoy her days there the staff activity coordinator such a wonderful facility such a beautiful place. I definitely recommend people to send their loved ones there.

Richmond Place has been such a great community to work with, for both myself and my clients. I would recommend this facility to anybody looking for the right new home for their mom and dad. I'm happy and the staff is wonderful. I'm very grateful to have rides to the doctor, that is very important to me. The people that live here are very nice.

I feel relieved knowing that my great aunt is being looked after by the staff in Woodford. Special shoutout to Melissa for always being prompt in responding to my great aunts needs.

My mom came to live at Richmond Place ten years ago. During that time she has progressed through the various stages of aging in this wonderful retirement community. Her experience began in the independent living building "up on the hill" in 2015 at the age of 86. We are thankful that she has been able to remain in this familiar and friendly environment as her needs have changed. She is happy and content and I'm at peace knowing that she is provided with attentive and compassionate care.

My mother has been a long-time resident in the personal care building. The staff are very kind and have helped her through many challenges as her disease has progressed. Great communication between staff and families. There are many activities for residents to enjoy and a shuttle service to the grocery. Drop off services to minor doctor appointments and an in-house beauty salon are very helpful.

I really enjoyed the community when I toured the facility for my grandmother. The staff was very nice and informative.

I recently toured RP for my dad and I just can’t put into words how friendly the staff and residents were! Looking forward to moving in soon !

Talk about service!!! I’m in awe of the Life Enrichment Team at Richmond Place. My grandmother has lived in all three levels of care and the two things that are consistent is the quality of care and the huge array of activities offered. We love Richmond Place.

Our family looked at several senior communities in Lexington before we made one of the best decisions ever and that was to place my grandfather at Richmond Place. The staff had been so helpful over the years! I don’t know what we would’ve done without Scott, April, and the entire care staff. They truly are gems!

My mom’s favorite cousin is in the Woodford building and she loves it there! Our family is so pleased with her care and we recommend for OUTSTANDING care of your loved ones! Thank you to all of those who work so hard each day!
