Alzheimer’s & Dementia Support Group for Caregivers

3rd Friday of each month, 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m.

Conducted by Dr. Brittney Poppe, Clinical Geriatric Psychologist from the Alzheimer’s Association, meet with other caregivers and share stories in a compassionate, supportive atmosphere. Discover creative problem-solving techniques and caregiving ideas to help make caring for your loved one easier. Lunch and complimentary respite care provided.

Memory Care Support Group

Provides emotional, educational, and social support for family and friends of individuals with Alzheimer’s disease and other related dementia.

Memory Keepers – A caregiver’s support group for those caring for ones with memory loss

3rd Thursday of each month, 6 – 7 p.m.

This caregiver support group is led by Dr. Stephen Bliss, Clinical Psychologist, specializing in Geropsychological care and offers support for individuals caring for a loved one with cognitive memory loss, such as Alzheimer’s disease or dementia. Each week a different topic is discussed, and you may join at any time during the year. Light refreshments will be served.

2nd Tuesday of each month, 4 – 5 p.m.

This support group is co-facilitated by Rev. Dr. Rebecca Church, Director of Pastoral Services, and Deanna Young, Vice President, Nursing and Client Services, Wesley Manor. The group offers support for memory changes, coping with aging family members, moving a loved one to a senior living community, and grief and loss.
